VulcanPlate™ Wear Plates

VulcanPlate™ is a wear, impact and corrosion resistant wear plate with alumina ceramic tiles embedded in rubber that can be manufactured in a variety of shapes, sizes, attachment methods and with many different substrates.

VulcanPlate Rubber and Ceramic Wear Plates Examples

Under the VulcanPlate™ name we offer Wear Plates and Lagging used for conveyor pulleys.

Both Wear Plates and Lagging are designed with exposed ceramic faces to extend wear life, minimize rubber exposure and on Lagging, improve belt traction.

  • With hardness next to diamond on the Mohs scale, alumina ceramic provides outstanding wear resistance that is 10X greater than carbon steel
  • Natural rubber is corrosion resistant to many chemicals
  • Impact forces dissipated through the rubber help isolate vibration
  • Shock absorbing nature of the rubber backing also reduces noise
VulcanPlate Coal Conveyor
  • Wear Plates are available in standard sizes up to 20” x 20” and thicknesses from 3/4” to 2-1/2”
  • Lagging is available in sizes ranging from 8” x 48” to 16” x 60” with a 1/2” thickness
  • Wear Plates can be manufactured with studs, bolt-in, weld-in and other attachment methods to suit the application
  • Maximum operating temperature of 250˚F
